Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year! Over the holiday we were able to travel to Missouri! It was so wonderful to finally feel some chilly weather and we even saw snow flurries one night. We were able to spend the weekend with Joe's family in Springfield. Joe's brothers Kevin and David live there with their wives (and now Kevin's daughter...weird to say!!) Mae and Ian braved an 18 hour drive to be with us from Charlotte. Our drive that was supposed to be about 11 hours took us 14. What we all won't do to see our new niece Emma! Joe is a proud uncle and was quite taken with her and was quite a natural. We are so thankful that she is now part of this family and we are so excited to watch her continue to grow. She is precious! It was so wonderful to visit with everyone. We always have so much fun when we are all together. These times really are special to me, an only child, because I get to have siblings! There is always much laughter and excitement. I feel so lucky to have such great in-laws. We are both so thankful for the way God has blessed us. We have much to be thankful for this year and always!

You've been a busy blogger! It was so wonderful to see you guys - and to actually get to interact with Joe this time! He was very sweet with Emma. :) I, too, say ditto on the great in-laws... my brothers did very well!
love,
Mae
